How often should I wash my wig?

It is recommended to wash your wig every 7-14 days of wear. Using as few styling products as possible on your wig will allow you to wash it less often and extend its life. Wearing a wig cap underneath will also extend the life of your wig. The wig cap will help absorb scalp oils, keeping them away from the base of the cap.

 

                                                             How do I wash my wig?

Before washing your wig, gently comb it out, removing all tangles. Start at the tips of the hair and work your way up to the base of the cap. Make sure that you are only using a comb designed for wigs. For stubborn tangles, applying a spray conditioner can help loosen them. To wash your wig, start by getting it wet under running water.  To do so, you can hold the wig under the faucet from your sink (but only if the hair is short). For longer wigs, we recommend holding the wig under the faucet of your bathtub or shower so that the hair does not get tangled in the basin. Let cool water flow over the hair from the base to the tips until it is wet. Gently squeeze (do not wring or twist) to remove excess water. Apply a small amount of wig shampoo to the palms of your hands and apply evenly over the hairpiece. Do not twist, rub or massage. Simply smooth the shampoo on the wig from the base to the tips of the hair. Using cool water, gently rinse all shampoo from the hair, allowing the water to flow over the hair from the base to the tips. Do not rub, wring or twist. Gently rinse until all shampoo has been removed. Lightly squeeze excess water from the hair (do not rub or wring). Blot hair gently with a towel to remove excess water before conditioning.

How do I order a custom wig?

All ordering/designing of your unit can be done online via the custom order form. In person consultations are available to clients in the Jackson area as a free service. Once you design your unit, a 50% deposit is due upfront and the remainder is due once the unit is complete. Once the order is submitted, we will be in touch with you. 

 

What quality are your wigs?

My wigs are made from very high quality virgin hair.

 

Do you have a return policy or exchange policy?

Due to the personal nature of this product, I do not offer returns or exchanges. Please take your measurements and select options very carefully. I will make your custom wig according to your exact specifications. Please note, I am not responsible for improper measurements resulting in a wig that does not fit. I am also not responsible for variances in color caused by monitor settings or photographs. If you are looking for a specific color, I strongly recommend sending the exact color choice and brand. If you are unhappy with your purchase, please contact me and I will try and find a reasonable solution.

How long does shipping usually take?

For custom wigs, please expect 2-3 weeks for your wig to reach you. For Ready-To-Wear wigs, please expect 1-2 weeks for your wig to reach you. Rush shipping options are available for an additional fee and can be selected during checkout. An upgrade in shipping is not an upgrade in processing time. If you need faster processing, please contact me.

Do you have units that are ready to ship?

While the majority of our units are custom made, sometimes there are some Ready-To-Wear wigs available. They are posted when available. Ready to ship units cannot be customized for sizing and styling.

How do I track my order?

Once your order is shipped, you will receive tracking info via email. Your order will be shipped to the address we have on file. We are not responsible for lost packages due to errors in shipping address inputs. Shipments are made via USPS. Upgraded shipping is available during check out.

Can I send hair for my unit to be made?

Yes! You can provide hair for your unit or you may purchase hair through me. Once your hair is received, you can then start your order.

How long will my unit last?

Your unit can last for many years depending on the upkeep and usage of the wig. 

​

Can I were these units if I have no hair?

Yes! The units are snug fit and will conform to your head. You do not have to have hair for the full units or frontals. The U-part wigs do require hair to be left out. I suggest that my clients with hair loss purchase a wig grip for added grip.

How do I prep my hair for wearing a wig?

For wigs, it is best to have a flat base for the wig to lay correctly. Braid your natural hair in very fine flat cornrows straight back.

I exercise often. Will my unit stay put?

Yes! You can workout in your wig. 

​

Can I sleep in my unit?

You can sleep in your unit if you would like. Sleep with a satin scarf or bonnet to prolong the longevity of your unit.

Can I dye my unit?

Yes you can. It is 100% unprocessed virgin hair. You can bleach, color, recolor, and color again.

Policies

Due to the nature of the service, we are not responsible for poor fit due to improper measurement, improper alterations done by a stylist, improper installs resulting in alterations of the unit, improper care of the unit resulting in tangling or other harm, color fade due to product error, misunderstandings of wig wear, misunderstandings of policies and expectations or incorrect cut due to the work of someone else. Once your deposit is paid for a custom wig, work begins on your purchase. Deposits are nonrefundable. Once orders are complete, you have 15 days to pay the final payment or your order will be sold and funds nonrefundable.
